The rumored Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active has officially been announced by Samsung. Its the Galaxy S 4‘s water and dust resistant variant, which will soon be accompanied by Samsung Galaxy S 4 Zoom, another variant of Galaxy S 4 that offers 16 mega pixels of camera with 10x optical zoom capabilities. Galaxy S 4 active has IP67 water and dust resistance ratings that keeps the device safe against water damage for 30 minutes and also keeps the dust particles away from your smartphone.

It offers 5.0 inches full HD TFT LCD screen with pixel density of 443 pixels per inch, and super sensitive glove touch, that means you will be able to use your Galaxy S 4 Active even with Gloves. There’s a 8 mega pixels of rear camera capable of full hd video recording accompanied by LED flash and there’s a 2 mega pixels front facing camera for video calling purposes. There are hardware menu keys rather than traditional touch sensitive keys. There’s quadcore processor clocked at 1.9Ghz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage capacity expandable up to 64GB with external microSD card. It has Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean operating system.
The GALAXY S4 Active will be available for purchase beginning this summer, with initial retail in the U.S. and Sweden. It will be offered in three different color options: Urban Grey, Dive Blue and Orange Flare. Specific availability will vary depending on the market. Media requests and invited partners will be offered hands-on demonstrations with the GALAXY S4 Active & Galaxy S 4 Mini at the Samsung Premiere 2013 GALAXY & ATIV in London on Thursday, June 20th.
